 Affiliate marketing, affiliate programs, income generators,
successful affiliates, traffic, top affiliate income. All these
terms are used when we talk about making money with Affiliate
programs. The income potential of this type of marketing is
really unlimited.

Yet the success rate of affiliates is quite dismal. Statistics
show that approximately 12% of affiliates of any given program
account for approximately 87% of that programs affiliate income.
In other words very few affiliates ever make a sale or if they
do they make very few of them.

How can this be? Think about what you are given as an affiliate.
You are basically handed the opportunity to reap financial
benefits from some one else's money and hard work. What other

I am a very big proponent of using affiliate marketing as an
income generating stream for any business, but especially for
the small Internet business. Just look at the benefits listed
above. Talk about a low budget way to start a business!

Let me say this to you right now, you can make a lot of money
with affiliate programs if you are willing to take the time to
learn how to do it right. That's right it takes time not money.
Any affiliate program that ask for money from you to join forget
it and move along. No legitimate affiliate program will cost you
anything to join.

What are the keys to being a successful affiliate marketer?

1). Research the product and the company thoroughly and choose
wisely. Remember your reputation is on the line.

2). If possible use the product before you recommend it. This
way you will gain first hand knowledge of its quality and your
sales copy will have more conviction.

3). Do not over affiliate! It is far more profitable to have a
few products that you believe in than a flea market of blue
hyper links pasted all over your web site.

How annoying is it when you click on a web site and banners are
flashing, lights are blinking, and you see more blue than in the
Pacific ocean.

To sum it up, affiliate marketing can increase to profits of any
business without costing you a cent for additional inventory or
shipping.

When you understand the "How To's" of promoting affiliate
programs, Not just joining and slapping up a banner or a link on
your site, I mean taking the time to learn how to generate a lot
of traffic to your affiliate pages, you can easily earn an
additional several thousand dollars per month.

In business you will either need to invest Time or Money to be
successful at anything that you do. Affiliate marketing is worth
the investment of your time to learn how to do it right.
