Affiliate Marketing: Why it is a good idea to be in this business

 I received an email this week from a gentleman who wanted a rationalization for joining in affiliate marketing.

Why, because of the many benefits in this business! Here are some of the reasons.

1. You don't have to invest a lot of money in office equipment, you just need to get a desk, a computer with an internet-connection and you are in business.

2. Your product is already there so you don't need to spend money on product development. You only need to sign up as an affiliate in the merchant's program and choose the product matching your niche market. Upside no product development costs.

3. You don't need to worry about payment processing, which can result in fraud, chargeback, collecting or storing names, addresses, and credit card numbers and so forth because the merchant handles these for you. Upside no merchant account require.

4. There's no need to carry product inventory because the product is with the merchants. They are keeping the stock for you. Upside no inventory cost.

5. You don't have to carry the risk, if the product you are advertising is not profitable, and then you can discontinue that line and choose another. There are no long-term contracts requiring you have to carry unprofitable products. Upside minimizes the risk.

6. You don't have to go to the post office, call up an express delivery service and pay for delivery. You don't' need to worry about goods being damaged or problematic deliveries. These are merchant's duties; they will do it for you. The merchant handles the shipping process. Upside no shipping cost, along with outsourced customer service support.

7. You don't have to worry about no sales while you are away or while you take a rest because affiliate business allows you to keep your door open and continue to make money whether or not you are there. It is round-the-clock and non-stop. Upside you make money while you sleep.

8. You don't have to look at your boss's face and take his or her orders. With your own affiliate business, you can easily earn extra income and your income is limited only by your desire, effort and imagination. Prospective customers click on your ads, and then the link will redirect him/her to the merchant's website for that particular product he/she wants to process and make a purchase. The affiliate's profit is proportional to the number of referrals and products purchased through his/her link. It is the easy way to make money. Upside have high income potential.

9. No prior sales experience required. Most affiliate programs offer excellent support when it comes to providing marketing material. Upside, instant startup and profitability.
